Tracking Transparency

I work on research focused on understanding what people think about the inferences used for web personalization and ad targeting, and exploring how we can provide more transparency to users about tracking and personalization as part of the UChicago SUPERgroup.

Uncommon Hacks

I’m director of Uncommon Hacks, a student group at UChicago that seeks to build community and encourage participation in tech by running a hackathon and other events at UChicago. Our flagship event is our annual intercollegiate hackathon, and we also run other events at UChicago, including holding the first Uncommon Makes last fall. Our goal is to encourage creativity and learning by celebrating the weird and uncommon of internet culture. See UChicago News for more info about our 2018 hackathon.
